A Wake-Up Call

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

by David Mason

We are living in a plutocratic oligarchic society.  There are a small group of wealthy eugenicists who own our political parties, our media, our industry, our military, our economy and our education system.

sheehan
The political parties do not represent us, but instead represent an ideology put forward by their funders and their funder’s eugenicist researchers, such as Obama’s Science Czar John P. Holdren.

They put fluoride in our drinking water and tell us brush with fluoride toothpaste twice a day to lower our I.Q.’s and our fertility.  They vaccinate us with syringes full of mercury, squalene and polysorbate to cause brain inflammation and auto-immune diseases which destroy our natural immune system, thereby making us more susceptible to chronic disease.  They spray bromide ions and aluminium dioxide into the atmosphere to lower our I.Q.’s, sterilise us, and give us cancer.  They feed us genetically modified food, interfering with our D.N.A. and reducing the gene pool of the plants and animals we humans need to survive.  They sweeten our drinks with aspartame, an industrial waste product, which lowers I.Q. and interferes with brain function.  They flood our streets with harmful drugs which reduce brain function and induce dependency, amongst a myriad of other health issues.  At the same time, they have banned the cure for cancer; vitamin B-17 which can be found in the pips of apples.  An apple a day keeps cancer away.

They indoctrinate our children between 6 and 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, 40 weeks a year, for up to 15 years.  They own and run all major television, radio and internet communication networks.  They tell us what to think about and how to think about it.  They tell us the world is over populated, that earth cannot sustain 6.5 billion people.  In fact, there is enough room on the land of this planet for every man, woman and child to have 175m by 175m of land each.  We accept the lie of overpopulation because of the rat-maze, prison-like cities which they have created and we find ourselves in.  They tell us global warming is caused by carbon dioxide, when in reality carbon dioxide levels increase after a period of warming has begun, due to the abundance of life which flourishes in warm environments.  Carbon dioxide is what humans breathe out and plants breathe in.  Most life forms on this planet are carbon based and produce or require carbon dioxide in their respiration.  They use the excuse of global warming to increase our taxes and demonise our fellow human beings.  In fact, the entire solar system is going through a period of warming.  Your carbon footprint is not responsible for the melting of the ice-caps of Mars and the frozen seas of Europa.  Global warming is an excuse to reduce population and raise taxes.  They own, fund and operate abortion clinics.

They are the largest contributors to all major political parties, set their policies and thereby control our government.  They pass thousands of laws each year without congressional or parliamentary debate.  They frame political discussion in a false left-right paradigm, thereby dividing the people so as to never allow the people to resist them.  The political parties do not represent us, but instead represent an ideology put forward by their funders and their funder’s eugenicist researchers, such as Obama’s Science Czar John P. Holdren.  They have set up supra-national governmental institutions, such as the United Nations and European Union, to erode our national sovereignty and distance the individual from the political decision making process.

They conduct foreign wars of aggression.  These wars are murder in the name of corporate greed.  They control the oil fields of Iraq and the poppy fields of Afghanistan.  They conduct staged terror attacks and invent phantom enemies to frighten the public into accepting appalling losses of liberty in the name of national security.  Al-Qaeda, in Arabic ‘The Database’, was a list of C.I.A.-Mujahedeen agents who thwarted the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 1980’s.  Osama bin Laden was on the C.I.A. payroll until, at least, 1999.  They use the phantoms to force us to accept that our every action is tracked, traced and scanned, that privacy no longer exists, that you have to present your papers on a daily basis, even to purchase cigarettes and alcohol.  All in the name of national security, and the health of our children.

Perhaps most pervasive of all, and the reason for their continued wealth, is their control of the money supply by use of public-private banking partnerships such as the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve.  These institutions are run purely for the benefit of their investors.  They print at least 10 times more money than they have in their reserves.  They lend this money, which is printed out of thin air, to governments and other banks, at interest, on the security of that government’s people and the people’s taxes.  This is why national debt exists; to fund the wealthy elite.  They have created a debt black-hole from which we cannot escape.  This system has led to, and will further lead to the debasement, robbery and rape of our domestic populations.  On a supra-national level, private off-shore banks, such as the I.M.F. and World Bank, impose their will upon poor countries which are in need of financial investment.  These off-shore banks openly control the governments of the countries which are indebted to them.

It is this controlled system of wealth which is in control of our lives.  For this is the truth of our existence; we are slaves.  We are money-slaves, debt-slaves and mind-slaves.  We cannot escape this system until we recognise it for what it is; a plutocratic oligarchic slave system.  And we cannot escape this system until we do something about it.

This is my hope; that each recognise his bonds and rends them asunder, so that each may live their lives with the freedom of the earth, and with love, hope and charity in their hearts.

Freedom is Strength, Ignorance is Slavery, War is Unneccessary.

More On Internment Camps

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

by Chuck Baldwin
August 28, 2009

FEMA-camp (1)A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a column questioning why it was necessary for our federal government to be constructing internment camps all over America. See the original column at

http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c2009/cbarchive_20090811.html

I felt it was time for someone such as me to publicly broach the subject. Needless to say, the response was overwhelming. Even more interesting is the fact that the web link to the National Guard Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of “Internment/Resettlement Specialist” that I included in my column was removed shortly after the column was published. Was this a coincidence?

Of course, the U.S. Army still has their web site soliciting recruitment for “Internment/Resettlement Specialist” online. See it at

http://www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=292

Readers might also want to familiarize themselves with this story out of Fort Leavenworth:

http://www.ftleavenworthlamp.com/articles/2009/04/16/news/news1.txt

Predictably, I heard from a sizeable number of readers who expressed concern about my “credibility.” Some were more direct: descriptions such as “conspiracy nut,” “lunatic,” “fringe,” etc., popped up quite often. Several readers dismissed the entire proposition on the basis that, apparently, the link I provided to a photo of one such camp that was reported in the Idaho Observer as a FEMA camp was actually constructed in another country. Which, if true, changes nothing, of course. Others pointed to a very shallow “exposé” published in Popular Mechanics that attempted (lamely) to debunk the whole notion of internment camps. (This was the same source Glenn Beck used to dismiss the idea.) See the report at

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/4312850.html

Criticism and name-calling aside, after reading the responses from hundreds of readers (and examining the evidence they submitted), I am more convinced than ever that our federal government is, indeed, constructing large numbers of internment camps. And as one might expect, I heard from a large number of military and law enforcement personnel, which made the evidence even more compelling.

One statement from a retired Air Force colonel (who is still active in military associations and stays well-informed on military issues) was especially telling. He said, “The Indiana plant is an AMTRAK repair area–there are probably similar reasons for other facilities. [Which is, no doubt, true.] I was a primary member of ‘Continuity of Operations’ planning in my second tour in the Pentagon in the 1960s–such planning has continued apace! This country was–and to a large extent still is–totally unprepared for the after effects of nuclear exchange. The millions of casualties of humans and animals–notwithstanding the almost total loss of communications and government infrastructure like police, fire, emergency response, etc. THERE ARE AND SHOULD BE PLANS TO DECLARE MARTIAL LAW to keep order, to provide assistance for food, shelter, medical, etc. FEMA was designed to do this work to fill the terrible losses in continuity of operations, which would keep this country viable. Katrina is a tiny example of how an emergency can destroy an entire geographical area–and Katrina is just a minor example of where we would be as a result of a nuclear exchange. As with all things military you plan for the worst and hope for the best.

“We remain vulnerable to massive catastrophes in this country–natural or man-caused. We need to be prepared and FEMA with all its faults–BACKED BY THE MILITARY–is charged with this job.” (Emphasis added.)

(To learn more about “Continuity of Operations,” to which the good colonel referred, start with these web sites:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuity_of_Operations_Plan

http://fas.org/irp/offdocs/pdd/fpc-65.htm )

Camp_Fema-TNotice that the retired colonel did not challenge the existence of internment camps, but rather linked them, and military-backed FEMA, with martial law–and he saw nothing wrong with that. (Please note: the colonel brought up martial law; I did not. Plus, the colonel was not adversarial with me, but on the contrary, expressed familiarity and favor toward me.) Several military men who wrote me shared the colonel’s sentiment. Some of them expressed concern about the impact these plans will have on freedom and constitutional government, while others seemed completely unconcerned regarding any potential encroachment that plans of military action against American citizens might have upon the Bill of Rights. What is enlightening, however, is the fact that, regardless of the personal position taken, none of the military personnel who wrote me discounted the existence of internment camps.

Since the colonel brought up martial law, U.S. Congressman Paul Broun (R-GA) recently indicated that he believed the U.S. government was intending to do just that. See his comments at

http://tinyurl.com/pandemic-martial-law

And last year, the San Francisco Chronicle published a major story regarding the potential for the federal government to suspend the Constitution and institute martial law. See the story at

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/02/04/ED5OUPQJ7.DTL

In addition, is it a coincidence that a bill was recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives (H.R. 645) called the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act, which directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish “not fewer than 6 national emergency centers on military installations”? See the report at

http://tinyurl.com/cong-to-auth-fema-camps

Is all of this information simply to be discarded as hysteria?

On the other hand, several readers chided me for being “late” to discuss the subject. And to be sure, some of these folks have done quite a bit of personal research and have amassed a large amount of data on the subject.

For example, readers supplied me with a plethora of material to substantiate the existence of large numbers of internment camps throughout the United States. I invite readers to peruse some of the information provided below and draw their own conclusions:

http://www.thepeoplesvoice.org/cgi-bin/blogs/voices.php/2008/08/11/p27662

http://www.bing.com/search?q=fema+camps

http://tinyurl.com/locate-fema-camps1 (This site requires JavaScript to be enabled.)

Of course, the above is merely a sample of the scores of resources that were forwarded to me by readers. I encourage people to do their own research.

Even Mr. Skeptoid himself, Brian Dunning, grudgingly acknowledges the probability of the existence of internment camps on U.S. soil. As with the retired Air Force colonel referred to above, Dunning senses nothing sinister about the existence of the camps, and he doesn’t address the numbers part of the story, but he does admit the plausibility of their existence.

Dunning wrote, “When I first heard the FEMA Prison Camp conspiracy story, it seemed ridiculous and paranoid at face value. But when I finally dug in to research it, I started by searching for the origins of the rumors, and found to my surprise that nearly all of the legal foundation and precedent for such a plan does in fact exist.”

(See Dunning’s blog at http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4145 )

FEMA-camp (2)As I was mulling over all this information, I remembered reading an interview that radio talk show host Geoff Metcalf had with author Ted Flynn regarding Flynn’s (then) new book, “Hope of the Wicked: The Master Plan to Rule the World.” According to Metcalf, “Flynn’s book provides a strong historical basis to show that there is a global elite working to end the sovereignty of nations and to place every person on earth under the authority of the United Nations.” This interview was conducted back in 2001, by the way.

In the interview, Metcalf asked Flynn, “Please explain what FEMA is. What is their authority and what is their job?”

Flynn replied, “The Federal Emergency Management Agency is probably going to be the enforcement arm of the New-World Order. Very few people could tell you that it is actually a cabinet position. By and large, a great percentage of their budget is ‘black ops.’ It’s really not on the books. You only hear of them a little bit when there are disasters. But there is a great agenda to gather information for the government in stealth.”

Metcalf then said, “I found it significant when Rep. Henry Gonzalez, D-Texas, clarified the question of the existence of civilian detention camps. In an interview a few years ago, he said, ‘the truth is yes–you do have these standby provisions, and the plans are here . . . whereby you could, in the name of stopping terrorism . . . evoke the military and arrest Americans and put them in detention camps.’ They DO exist.”

Flynn replied, “They do.”

(See the interview at http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=8853 )

Again, that our federal government has built large numbers of internment camps seems undeniable. What has not been determined is the purpose for which these facilities have been constructed. No one wants to believe that our government is planning evil designs upon us. Then again, neither did German Jews want to believe that their government was up to no good.

America’s founders believed that a central government could not be trusted, which is why they tried to fence it in with the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Neither should citizens today trust the federal government. As President George Washington put it, “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”

Therefore, keep a wary eye out for anything that the federal government could use to encroach upon our liberties and freedoms–even reports of internment camps. If the reports are bogus, you’ve lost nothing; but if they are real, you could end up losing your liberty.

The Return Of The Robber Barons

Friday, August 28th, 2009

from EconomicPopulist.org

“We must break the Money Trust or the Money Trust will break us.”
- Louis D. Brandeis, 1913

When the economy appeared to be melting down last September, Wall Street bank representatives began showing up in Congress like mobsters walking into a mom-and-pop business looking for protection money.
“Nice economy ya got here.(crash!) It would be a shame if something were to happen to it.”

Mobsters and Robber Barons have a lot in common.
Neither has any respect for the law or morals, only for power. Neither can ever be satisfied with any amount of wealth. They will always need to steal more and more and more until they’ve completely bankrupted their victims.

We are now at the mercy of modern Robber Barons, and if history is any judge, it is either them or us.

Bank Wars

“The great monopoly in this country is the money monopoly. So long as that exists, our old variety and freedom and individual energy of development are out of the question.”
- Woodrow Wilson, 1911

On February 28, 1913, the House of Representatives released a report with the most banal name imaginable – Committee Appointed Pursuant to House Resolutions 429 and 504 to Investigate the Concentration of Control of Money and Credit.
In spite of the long-winded and innocuous title, the testimony in the report revealed to the world an unseemly and corrupt conspiracy of Wall Street bankers that threatened the very foundations of our democracy. Despite the dangers, many of the recommendations of the Pujo Committee were ignored until after the 1929 Crash.

Arsene Pujo

As a species and a nation, we seem to be doomed to repeat our mistakes.

Dirty political battles between Washington and eastern bankers are not a new concept in America. The Bank War between President Jackson and the Second Bank of the United States is the most obvious and public of these exchanges. Nicolas Biddle, the Second Bank’s President, purposely caused the 1834 Depression, by restricting the money supply, to use as leverage against President Jackson.

Unfortunately for Mr. Biddle, his arrogance regarding his ability to cause an economic collapse allowed his ego to get the best of him. He continued boasting, now publicly that relief would only come if Congress renewed the bank’s charter. When Pennsylvania Governor George Wolf, a previous supporter of the central bank was made aware of the bank President’s sentiments, he immediately came out against extension or renewal of the bank’s charter.

When someone mentions trusts and trust-busting, people tend to think of John. D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil, J. P. Morgan’s Northern Securities railroad company, and Andrew Carnegie’s U.S. Steel.
What frequently gets forgotten is the Money Trust of Wall Street. The reason that it isn’t mentioned is because it was never totally broken. Instead the decision was to regulate it via the creation of the Federal Reserve. Nicolas Biddle’s dream was finally realized.

Our Financial Oligarchy

“Far more dangerous than all that has happened to us in the past in the way of elimination of competition in industry is the control of credit through the domination of these groups over our banks and industries.”
- Pujo Committee

“The dominant element in our financial oligarchy is the investment banker. Associated banks, trust companies and life insurance companies are his tools…Though properly but middlemen, these bankers bestride as masters America’s business world, so that practically no large enterprise can be undertaken successfully without their participation or approval.”
- Louis D. Brandeis, 1913

What frequently gets lost in economic discussions is that the current depression is different from all other post-WWII recessions. All previous recessions were caused intentionally by the Federal Reserve.
The Fed would raise interest rates in order to choke off inflation. Once the inflation was contained they would lower interest rate. Consumer demand, which was artificially suppressed by the Fed’s high interest rates, would then be released and the economy would boom.

That didn’t happen this time.

The Fed didn’t raise interest rates to choke off inflation. There was no consumer demand that was artificially suppressed, thus there was no pent-up demand that was waiting to be released when the Fed cut rates.
What little “less bad” news that we’ve heard with home and auto sales has been almost exclusively to do with the tax rebates for first-time home buyers and the cash-for-clunkers program. Both of these programs are limited in time and scope, and both bring future demand to the present, which will leave an even bigger gap in demand once they are finished.

What happened this time was an economic collapse that emanated directly from Wall Street. It’s source was bad loans that the bankers and rating agencies pushed onto the financial markets of the world, knowing full well that it was only a matter of time before they blew up and took down the world economy.
The economy didn’t collapse because of government regulations. It didn’t collapse because the government taxed too much or spent too little.
It wasn’t because the American consumer stopped spending.

It was because the financial system knowingly overpriced a major financial asset class, and then leveraged itself against that asset class in the vain hope that the Day of Reckoning never came.

The whole financial crisis only came to light because of what amounts to a falling out amongst thieves.

War Between the Ruling Kleptocracy

“Gentlemen: You have undertaken to cheat me. I won’t sue you, for the law is too slow. I’ll ruin you.
Yours truly, Cornelius Vanderbilt.”

- 1853

It is sometimes forgotten that the 19th Century Robber Barons spent much of their time wasting resources trying to crush each other.
For example, the Erie War crippled what should have been the most profitable railroad in the nation, not to mention the cost from the corruption of the entire New York Assembly. An even more colorful battle involved the Albany and Susquehanna Railroadthat resulted in hundreds of paid goons crashing trains into each other and engaging in shooting wars.

History has proven that the unrestrained greed of an unregulated economy is neither fair, nor efficient. It also often leads to economic crisis.

Wall Street knows that you can make enormous amounts of money during an economic crisis, and no crisis is more fortunate than the failure of a leading competitor. The perfect example of that is the Panic of 1907.

John Pierpont Morgan again used rumor and innuendo to create a panic that would change the course of history. The panic of 1907 was triggered by rumors that two major banks were about to become insolvent. Later evidence pointed to the House of Morgan as the source of the rumors.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
J. P. Morgan

J. P. Morgan’s false rumors created a real panic and it threatened to bring down the entire financial center. Morgan then nobly contacted his European sources and managed to borrow $100 million worth gold bullion in order to stem the panic. History remembers Morgan as saving the day, and also helping to convince the public that we needed a central bank in this country.
Morgan didn’t save the system from a crisis of his own creation out of the goodness of his heart.

Of course Morgan did not go unrewarded. Recall from our story of two weeks ago that Teddy Roosevelt, despite his antitrust proclivities, allowed Morgan to purchase the Tennessee Coal and Iron Company for about $45 million when the true value was closer to $700 million, thus expanding Morgan’s steel empire.

If this sounds somewhat familiar, it should. Recall the failure of Bear Stearns.

Bear Stearns had been unpopular with the rest of the Wall Street oligarchy since it refused to participate in the bailout of Long-Term Capital Management in 1998, despite helping to create the problem.
The most suspicious fact of the Bear Stearns failure was the massive increase in short positions on March 10 and 11, with only five days left before expiration. Some insiders knew something they shouldn’t have. John Olagues makes a strong case that it was insiders at JP Morgan Chase that were shorting Bear Stearns and helping to create a “run” on their stock, knowing full well that they would be taking over the bank with the Fed’s help.

How would people at JP Morgan Chase know that ahead of time? They were in position to make the deal.

The Fed and U.S. Treasury brokered a deal for J.P. Morgan in haste without question. Usually, such huge deals or mergers would go through committees or FTC oversight, but none of that here –a quick weekend jaunt in the park. It was not surprising that no red flags were raised about J.P. Morgan’s chairman, James Dimon holding a board seat at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York when the deal was made.

Bear Stearns was bought by JP Morgan Chase at a price of $2 a share. A week later it was raised to $10 a share. Was it shame or a guilty conscience to caused JP Morgan Chase to give back a small amount of their quick profits?
JP Morgan Chase was in a position to profit from Bear Stearns demise, and another profit from its taxpayer-funded acquisition, just like in 1907.

Later on that year, JP Morgan Chase managed to purchase Washington Mutual, a bank with $307 Billion in assets, for the price of $1.888 Billion after the FDIC seized the bank.
Back in April JP Morgan Chase offered to purchase WaMu at a far, higher price, but WaMu refused.

“You should have sold to JPMorgan Chase in the spring, and you should do so now. Things could get a lot more difficult for you.”
- Treasury Secretary Paulson to WaMu CEO Kerry Killinger, August 2008

A Naked Coup

“We’re moving to an oligopolistic situation.”
- Kenneth Guenther, Independent Community Bankers of America, 1999

“The goose that lays golden eggs has been considered a most valuable possession. But even more profitable is the privilege of taking the golden eggs laid by somebody else’s goose. The investment bankers and their associates now enjoy that privilege. They control the people through the people’s own money.”
- Louis D. Brandeis, 1913

It’s too big of a coincidence that the biggest winners on Wall Street are also the most politically connected, and no one is more connected than Goldman Sachs.

Bush’s Treasury secretary, Hank Paulson, is a former Goldman C.E.O., and his replacement at Treasury, Tim Geithner, was mentored by Goldman alumni. Mario Draghi, who is leading the crisis response for the E.U., is a former Goldman vice chairman.

Merrill Lynch C.E.O. John Thain was once Goldman’s co-president, and Wachovia chief Robert Steel was a vice chairman. Ed Liddy, the new C.E.O. of A.I.G., was Goldman’s vice chairman. World Bank president Robert Zoellick was a managing director. Even Neel Kashkari, the 35-year-old tapped to oversee the $700 billion Troubled Assets Relief Program, served at Goldman as a vice president.

And the list goes on. Robert Rubin, President Clinton’s former Treasury Secretary, was once the co-chairman of Goldman Sachs. Jon Corzine, now the governor of New Jersey, is a former Goldman Sachs CEO. A top aide of Tim Geithner is former Goldman lobbyist Mark Patterson.
It’s so obvious, so in-your-face, that one must assume that Goldman Sachs feels itself invulnerable.

By now everyone should be aware that Goldman Sachs was the biggest beneficiary of the AIG bailout, to the tune of $12.6 Billion, and will be the winners again if AIG finally goes under.
With Paulson in charge of the Treasury at the time, it appeared that Goldman Sachs was bailing out Goldman Sachs. Rich bankers were bailing out rich bankers, and working-class taxpayers were footing the bill.

America has been purchased in a leveraged buyout. For about $5.2 Billion Wall Street has purchased the complete deregulation of the the financial sector, and unprecedented political influence that even now allows them to defeat any new regulations they choose. It’s actually a very good return on investment.

“America’s economic system is where it is today because gambling became the financial sector’s principal preoccupation. The pile of chips grew so big that the Money Industry displaced real businesses that provided real goods, services and jobs.”
- Harvey Rosenfield

This corrupt collusion between financiers and government officials was spelled out in no uncertain terms in Simon Johnson’s article, The Quiet Coup. Simply put, America is following the path of petty Banana Republics.

elite business interests—financiers, in the case of the U.S.—played a central role in creating the crisis, making ever-larger gambles, with the implicit backing of the government, until the inevitable collapse. More alarming, they are now using their influence to prevent precisely the sorts of reforms that are needed, and fast, to pull the economy out of its nosedive. The government seems helpless, or unwilling, to act against them.

Johnson goes on to say that chaos and confusion are very much in the interests of the ruling oligarchy, as it lets them take things, both legally and illegally, with impunity.
This message is echoed by Matt Taibbi in his article The Big Takeover.

The mistake most people make in looking at the financial crisis is thinking of it in terms of money, a habit that might lead you to look at the unfolding mess as a huge bonus-killing downer for the Wall Street class. But if you look at it in purely Machiavellian terms, what you see is a colossal power grab that threatens to turn the federal government into a kind of giant Enron — a huge, impenetrable black box filled with self-dealing insiders whose scheme is the securing of individual profits at the expense of an ocean of unwitting involuntary shareholders, previously known as taxpayers.

It seems hard for you and I to believe that anyone, any group, would purposely engineer an economic crisis for personal benefit. That’s because you and I aren’t consumed with ego, greed, and lust for power like the bankers on Wall Street are today. History has shown, time and time again, that this is exactly what these people do. Why should now be any different?
Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase have already benefited from the crisis.

The spirits of Nicolas Biddle and John Pierpont Morgan are alive and well today in the plush offices of Wall Street.

“Stasi” As Our New Term for Them

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

A friend’s email pointed something out to me that made me think.  He said:

Using terms like “Nazi” or “gestapo” (which means “secret state police”) etc turns the sheeples minds off immediately to the message like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohD28J5p2GE
However, by using an East German term which is a little less well known like “Staasi” (pronounced shtah-zi, which means “State Security”) is a nice little coded term that is unstigmatized and can be used as a meme.
Stasi_004_540pxI think he’s right.  My response was:
The term “Staasi” is very effective when people know what it means. Sadly, here the “dumbed-down” thing, as always, works  in the Government’s favor. Still, many, many 35+ year-old people know the term, and it is devastating.

The beautiful aspect of the word “Staasi” is its accuracy. It’s right on the money, without the baggage of the word “Gestapo.”

There are no tinny, Hollywood images of men in full-length, black leather coats, wearing Totenkopf symbols on theirhist10 caps, pulling screaming women out of their homes at 3AM when we use the word “Staasi.” To have created such an image of the East Germans for the masses in the West, would have required disloyalty, on the part of big cinema, to its socialist comrades.

With “Staasi,” the predictive programming tailored to make us look hysterical and extreme as users of words like “Gestapo,” never comes into play.

“Stassi” evokes a sense of never being alone, of an omnipresent entity which is, flatly, always listening, and which fails only occasionally to watch… due to present limits in technology implementation.

I feel that I live under Staasi. Every utterance into the phone, during a call or when the phone is in my pocket, is as permanent as the Stone Tablets.

This email will be in a file for decades, if not centuries.

Unless we win. A prospect which is becoming a long, long shot, barring some unforeseen intervention.

Government Fines & Harassment For People Who Refuse To Answer Intrusive Survey Questions

Government Fines & Harassment For People Who Refuse To Answer Intrusive Survey Questions 040809top2

Three million Americans are being forced to answer intrusive questions about their private lives under threat of home visits and fines by the government in the guise of The American Community Survey.

The survey, which is sent to 3 million random homes each year, is in addition to the census but demands far more invasive information from citizens, such as how many times they have been married, if they have a toilet that flushes, and how much is left outstanding on their mortgage.

According to one North Texas resident, “The questionnaire also wants answers about where she works, how much money she makes, and what time she leaves for work each day – the hour and minute! “I thought it was intrusive. I don’t have a high regard for the federal government collecting this information anyway,” the woman told CBS 11 News. “You don’t know what they’re going to do with it.”

“Why do they need to know this? They don’t, in my opinion,” the woman said, before further stating that she thinks the personal questions are un-American. “Do they really need to know if we have a mortgage and whether this house is free and clear? That’s intrusive.”

census workersThe U.S. Census Bureau claims the survey helps them “determine where to locate services and allocate resources.”

If the person refuses to respond to the the survey or merely skips one question, then the Census Bureau promises that they will be fined and harassed until they do, a process that includes telephone calls and home visits.

However, it’s all hot air as no one has ever been charged with a crime for refusing to answer the ACS survey, and indeed several members of Congress have denounced the invasive questions as a violation of the Right to Financial Privacy Act.

On its very face, this is also a flagrant violation of the 5th amendment. Any census form that goes beyond asking how many people live in the residence is a violation of the 5th amendment, and court cases have established this, yet the census becomes more and more invasive each time.

Despite the fact that refusal to respond to the survey carries no ultimate penalty, the vast majority of the millions who receive it will doubtless comply in the face of threats of harassment and fines.

Objections to the invasive information being demanded by the government in the form of the survey arrive on the back of similar concerns about the 2010 census itself, particularly howcensus workers are using GPS to electronically tag every home in America.

In February, the Obama administration moved control of the census out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House, a tactic slammed as a trick by Democrats to keep their majorities in Congress.
